The fairy lights are twinkling on the Christmas tree and the house is beautifully decked out with decorations — what could go wrong? Plenty, according to the National Poisons Centre in Beaumont. The home can be full of potential hazards over the Christmas season.
“For children in particular, there is temptation all around in the form of brightly coloured decorations, presents, bright berries and, of course, the Christmas tree,” they advise.
“The abundance of party drinks around the home also increases the risk of alcohol poisoning in young children and we recommend that all children showing signs of alcohol intoxication should be assessed in a hospital emergency department.”

He and his wife Corrine McLaughlin, right, will set out Thursday morning on a journey to Cape Horn in South America to raise awareness and money for organ donation, a cause that is close to their hearts. Chris McLaughlin underwent a liver transplant in 2010 after the doctors had given him two weeks to live if he didnt have one. The trip will return them to Cape Cod in Massachusetts and will take a about 160 hours of flying time to complete.

Doesn’t it seem like just a day or two ago Victoria’s Secret top model Alessandra Ambrosio announced that she would be expecting baby number 2? Well, sources are saying that another top model is also traveling down the road to motherhood. Lily Aldridge, 26, and husband Caleb Followill, 29, announced yesterday, December 29th, that they were expecting their first child.
The Kings of Leon frontman and the stunning Victoria’s Secret angel tied the knot last May in Santa Barbara. According to PEOPLE, the couple cannot wait to meet the new addition to their family. In August, the singer leaked information of beginning a family when the singer told PEOPLE, “I can’t wait to raise a family with her because she’s a great woman.”
