Lifetherapy

I am a sucker for a unique idea when it comes to beauty products. Lifetherapy is one of those brands with a unique idea and good products to boot. Its philosophy is that fragrance is an expression of your mood and it wants to help you “choose your mood” with its Play, Vacation, Escape, Chill, and Flirt fragrances. Each “mood” has a series of body products you can use to layer your scent or mix and match. Play has floral and citrus notes for a fresh, feminine feel. Escape has tropical notes like pikaki and pineapple to help you imagine your escape. Vacation takes the tropical vibe even further with coconut, vanilla, and sandalwood notes. Chill calms you with some floral notes and amber, cedarwood, and vanilla. Finally Flirt, the newest “mood,” combines floral notes with vanilla, coconut, and musk. The brand has four products available in each scent: a hand cream, body lotion, body crème, and perfume oil. My essentials are the Handcremes and Pulse Point Oils. I’ve been reaching for my tube of Escape Handcreme on tough days at work, on days where a little tropical scent definitely lifts my mood and helps me make it through the day. The formula is great, super-hydrating and paraben-free. The Pulse Point Oils are concentrated and long-lasting. I’ve been wearing Chill, and while it is definitely calming, the amber and vanilla notes in the fragrance are very alluring and sexy. I like to think Amber makes everything sexy. My wish is that Lifetherapy expands into bath products. Wouldn’t it be great to take these moods and use them in your bathtub? A girl can dream. Read more of Carla’s musings at Product Girl.
