Annual Makeup Trade Show Hits Los Angeles

The International Makeup Artist Trade Show touches down in Los Angeles around this time every year. IMATS is open to the public, and for the price of a ticket, you could shop hundreds of vendors for incredible discounts. At this year’s show, many popular brands such as MAC, NYX, and Make Up For Ever were exhibiting, as were few lesser-known brands like Obsessive Compulsive Makeup, Sugarpill, and Naked Cosmetics, just to name a few. I was lucky enough to be part of the action this weekend as artists, bloggers, and makeup lovers came from far and wide to see what’s new in the industry. Brand representatives as well as owners stationed themselves at their booths and made themselves available to answer questions and show products. While you were shopping, you could stop to watch artist demonstrations and see how they transformed participants with special F/X or beauty makeup. You could also sit down and rest your feet while listening to industry speakers give presentations throughout the day. One of my favorite parts of this event was the opportunity to connect with other bloggers, vloggers, and readers. It was a place where likeminded people could connect over something we all love so much—makeup!
