Talk about cool jobs: As the senior vice president of Healthcare and Beauty for Target, Keri Jones and her team scout the world to uncover new products that simply must be at Tarjay. She dished to Allure about her all-time favorite beauty stuff—and what she predicts will be the next big things.
“Part comes from analyzing what’s already sold well, and part comes from getting shoppers’ insights. We do a ton of trend research, which includes shopping trips.”
“Our headquarters are in Minnesota and Olay Professional Pro-X Starter Protocol is so moisturizing—it’s been tremendous for my skin during our arctic winters. Sonia Kashuk’s cream blushes go on evenly and really last for the whole day. And Maybelline New York mascaras—whether it’s Falsies by Volum’ Express or Lash Stiletto Ultimate Length—are just fantastic.”

Sonia Kashuk’s limited-edition collect for spring—which launches in March, and is exclusively available at Target—was inspired by simple textures and natural materials such as wicker, rope, and burlap. The products are luxurious and a great value, with everything priced under $25. The Blink of an Eye Pencil Set includes two cream shimmering shadow pencils, and Gold Mine is a seven-piece set featuring a beautiful wicker clutch and six makeup brushes. We’re seeing a resurgence in curling irons. This spring, Target will be launching a new one, PRO Tools 3-Zone Heat Iron, which lets shoppers adjust heat settings to get a variety of different looks.”
